NYE Outfit Ideas 4/18/2013

Shine bright like a diamond this New Year's Eve! This is the only night of the year you can get away with wearing as much glitter, shimmer, and sequins as you want. If you are still searching for the perfect outfit to bring in the New Year, look no further. You should celebrate this night in style and set the tone for the rest of the year. This style file should put an end to your what-to-wear dilemma on the biggest party night of the year. Live it up and look forward to new beginnings!

I found this really cute pair of sequined shorts that would be perfect for any NYE party. The shorts are really bold and busy, thats why I paired them with a plain white top. Peplum was one of my favorite trends from 2012 and I love how it can instantly give any outfit a classic look. Another trend from 2012 that I absolutely loved was the cap toe pump. They were seen on every celebrity from Beyoncé to Rihanna! A red lip and a golden eye top this look off and will have you looking like a golden goddess.

There's no better way to stand out in a room (or an instagram picture) than in a major eye-catching dress. This dress is definitely a show stopper and does not need too many accessories, that is why I paired it with simple gold hoops. How gorgeous is this beaded clutch!? It is the perfect size bag to hold your essentials (lipstick, phone, and gum). Zara made a shoegasm worthy pair of pumps that remind me of Charlotte Olympia shoes that were really popular this year. To top this look off a dark nail polish similar to "Linkin Park After Dark" by OPI would compliment the dress. For make-up, a bold smokey eye and a light pink lip will give you a red carpet worthy look.
If you don't want to wear a dress or skirt this year try something new and stand out with a bright blazer paired with sequined leggings. Basic black pumps are perfect for this look and this black and gold fringed clutch from Zara is so unique and dope. A pretty pink lip and the right accessories give this outfit a girly touch. YSL makes great lipstick and they are surprisingly pretty affordable. If you are looking for a cheaper lipstick that is just as good as the one YSL makes, try Cover Girl lipstick from your local Walgreens or CVS. Trust me, drug store make-up is just as good and will get the job done.

When in doubt, wear red! This sweetheart peplum dress from Nasty Gal is to die for and it is 25% off right now on their website. This dress is simple so I paired it with eye catching accessories. Celiné necklaces were really popular in 2012 and I found this affordable option that is just as cute. Words can't even describe how dope this studded, Alexander Mc Queen inspired clutch is. Another awesome accessory that you can add to almost any outfit are ankle cuffs. I recently did a post on them here. I fell in love with nail wraps in 2012! NCLA is one of my favorite brands and they have designs for every occasion. This outfit will have everyone drooling over the lady in red.

I hope this gave you some inspiration. What are you going to wear on New Year's Eve? Tweet me or email me a picture at chelsea@extra-ordinaryliving.com and I'll post them on the blog. Pour it up and have a happy New Year!
